Although Subway may act like they were the first sandwich chain to toast their sandwiches, the truth is that Quiznos has been doing so ever since their first location opened over 30 years ago.
Recently, Quiznos added over 25 new menu items - items like grilled flatbreads, sub sliders and a slew of new sandwiches, and they want you to try them! To accomplish this they're hosting a couple contests.
The first is happening over on their Facebook page where each week through the end of this month the person who submits the best "Qrave Face" will win a $400 Visa gift card plus a $100 Quiznos gift card. What's a "Qrave Face" you ask? It's basically just PR speak for saying "upload a picture of what your face looks like when you're craving Quiznos."
The second contest is happening right here where three lucky DudeFoods readers will each win a $25 Quiznos gift card!
All you have to do to enter my contest is to leave a comment on this blog post letting me know what your favorite sandwich topping is. For me it's probably a toss up between bacon and guacamole. If a sandwich has both, like the new California Chicken Club from Quiznos does, then that's even better!

I remember the first time I went to a Quiznos - the pickle bar blew me away!
That said, anything pickled on my sandwich is great, but especially banana peppers and jalapenos. Love the spicy!

Meatball has always been my favorite! And it has to be moist on a soft roll, not crusty bread, therefore I usually ask for mine NOT toasted!

Beef wrapped in a layer of crunchy bacon. With some lettuce and maybe some grilled / crispy unions and of course lets not forget a nice thick and spicy sauce.

Kiwi slices...on top of peanut butter and blueberry jelly sandwiches, with cinnamon sprinkled on. I'm not kidding, it's dang good!

My fav sandwich topping is my home version Fire Salsa using chopped onions, fresh chopped jalapenos and serranos, several splashes of Habanero sauce (El Yucateco brand - the best!), Frontera Chipotle or Tomatillo Salsa (depending on red or green versions - I make both at the start of each month), Herdez Casera or Verde Salsa can, and a Tbsp of Heavenly Chef brand Hunan Red Chili Sauce. Tri-tip or pork loin on toasted sourdough roll or SD bread with mayo, lettuce, and cheese. All with a Cerveza - Tecate, Carte Blanca or Pacifico! ENJOY!!! Great blog, too...so glad I found it (on Today show I believe re the Cinnabonburger). Happy summer all.
