I’m a sucker for a good fast food secret menu item.
Sure, everyone knows that you can walk into In-N-Out and order your burger of fries “Animal Style,” or that you if you’re in the mood for a burrito wrapped inside a quesadilla you can go to Chipotle and order a Quesarito — which made it extra funny when Taco Bell added the Quesarito to their official menu and acted as if it was their idea all along.
There’s one secret menu item that I’m surprised more people aren’t aware of though, and that’s the Land, Sea and Air Burger from McDonald’s, which combines three of their most popular menu items — the Big Mac (the land), the Filet-O-Fish (the sea) and the McChicken (the air) into one ridiculously filling sandwich. It’s basically the perfect burger for indecisive people like me….
If you do stop in an at McDonald’s to order a Land, Sea and Air Burger though chances are that like most people you’re probably going to pay with a credit card instead of cash. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but with so few people paying with cash these days donations to the Ronald McDonald House Charities — those little plastic containers that you see near the registers and at the drive-thru that you can throw your loose change into — are down, which is why McDonald’s is now giving the customers the option to round up to the nearest dollar for charity on every order placed.
If you’re not familiar with the Ronald McDonald House Charities they’re an independent, nonprofit that for decades now has ensured that families with sick children are able to stay together to remain close to the care they need, made possible in part through the change collected from generous customer donations in McDonald’s restaurants.
So, whether you’re in the mood for a Land, Sea and Air Burger, one of every single sandwich that McDonald’s offers or even just a Big Mac and an order of fries so you can take them home and deep fry them just make sure that the next time you stop at McDonald’s you round up and donate to the Ronald McDonald House Charities!

May 12, 2020 at 6:31 pm (5 years ago)In quarantine I decided to try and class it up a little bit although I made mine a double land sea and air burger. Started with a qp patty and seared 2 shrimp. Cooked a sunny egg. Topped the whole contraption with a slice of Swiss. Double land because I topped it all with some bacon. Served on a Kaiser soze.
