Even though I only live a couple miles from Birdie’s Cafe I’d never even heard of it until recently. After hearing about how they serve breakfast all day though I decided to stop in for a visit. Being a fan of breakfast and a fan of pizza made my decision of what to order an easy one and I decided to go with a breakfast pizza.
Birdie’s offers a few different toppings for their breakfast pizzas and I had them cover mine in cheese, spinach and sausage. In addition to those they also offer ham, bacon and other assorted vegetables as topping choices. The pizza was pretty tasty, but about a third of the crust ended up being fairly burnt.
Unfortunately even though breakfast is served all day at Birdie’s Cafe they’re only open until 5pm. There goes my plan of breakfast pizza for dinner…
With so many restaurants trying to get into the breakfast game lately it seems weird to me that pizza chains like Papa John’s or Pizza Hut haven’t tried opening a little earlier each day and offering breakfast pizza, at least on weekends. Waking up on a Saturday or Sunday morning and ordering a breakfast pizza for delivery would be amazing!

I wasn’t impressed with my sandwich at Birdie’s. The clerk advised me against the pizza.
