As much as I’d love to take the credit for creating this incredible burger, the honor actually goes to the Cheese & Burger Society, which is a website that honors Wisconsin cheese through various delicious burger recipes.
The San Francisco Burger features Wisconsin Fontina cheese atop a beef patty as well as sliced tomatoes, red onions, guacamole, bacon and lettuce all between two slices of sourdough bread. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while I know that you’re probably used to seeing a few more pictures of the food I eat, but honestly, this burger was so good and I ate it so fast that I didn’t even think about taking any more shots of it.
In addition to hooking me up with a free shirt (which you can see my dog Finn proudly sporting in one of the picture below) the Cheese & Burger Society also gave me some pretty sweet prizes to give to the readers of DudeFoods. One lucky winner will receive a Cheese & Burger Society work shirt, another will receive an apron and two more will receive beer koozies.
Wanna get your hands on one of these prizes? Just head to the Cheese & Burger Society website and leave a comment here on DudeFoods telling me which of their burgers looks the best to you. I’ll select the four lucky winners randomly on June 27th. Good luck!

#14 The Bohemian! They may not have a country – but their burger looks fantastic! 🙂
GregJune 13, 2011 at 10:26 am (12 years ago)
They all look awesome, but I think the Lumberjack looks the best.
J FishJune 13, 2011 at 10:27 am (12 years ago)
#2 The Rhinelander. Me casa, Butterkäse!
GebbyJune 13, 2011 at 11:14 am (12 years ago)
#12 The Highway man……. This is what dudefoods is all about!
Hannah RussellJune 13, 2011 at 11:26 am (12 years ago)
The Johnny Appleseed, by far!!
BrianJune 13, 2011 at 11:28 am (12 years ago)
I’d have to go with the Couch Potato, mainly just because I’ve never seen potato chips on a burger before.
TonyJune 13, 2011 at 11:59 am (12 years ago)
Hmm…I’m goin to have to say #5 Big Ben, #18 The Pioneer, #28 Havanna or #30 Macho Nacho. Guess I will have to try them all 🙂
ChristinaJune 13, 2011 at 12:22 pm (12 years ago)
definitely #13 – The Roadhouse – caramelized onions, onion rings, AND a toasted onion roll? yes, please! Plus, it has bacon. everything is better with bacon. The gruyere and garlic mayo even throw in a bit of class. =p

Jalapenos, pepperoncini and spicy capicola. I’m sold on the Firehouse.
KettlerJune 13, 2011 at 12:33 pm (12 years ago)
Number 11, the Firehouse, because of the havarti/capicola. The Kansas City would be a close second, BBQ potato chips on the burger. I do this all the time at my favorite burger joint on my Double one pound patty cheese burgers. I’m a tiny girl and Dominate that tasty potato chip cheese burger concoction.

The Denver looks amazing because whenever you can have breakfast and lunch in one meal thats a plus but I have to give a big thumbs up to the Rhinelander because well I live in Rhinelander Wisconsin!
DubeyJune 13, 2011 at 2:48 pm (12 years ago)
Definitely the firehouse. Putting havarti on a burger like that will help put out the flame of all the spicy stuff.
ZachJune 13, 2011 at 4:17 pm (12 years ago)
Not gonna lie, #30 the macho nacho looks like everything I’ve ever wanted in life. I’m surprised I made it to the thirtieth burger, I spent about 5 minutes staring at each one going “Oh yeah, this is definitely the one…but just in case…*click!*” and of course, #30 caught my eye. Macho Nacho is all that needs to be said, my hands down favorite.

Give me a San Fransico now please..
ChaseJune 13, 2011 at 10:35 pm (12 years ago)
I was disappointed not to see a Baltimore w/ crab dip on top, but of those listed it’s gotta be the Kansas City.
I love burgers with pork BBQ on top.
Clint LarkinsJune 13, 2011 at 11:08 pm (12 years ago)
i would have to go with the kansas city that just screams dude foods plus im a mid-west boy.
anthonyJune 14, 2011 at 11:31 am (12 years ago)
I always thought the Big Ben looked pretty frickin outstanding. Blue cheese + pickled onions + bacon + balsamic mayo.
Also the Camelot because I love the way Patrick Warburton says “Camelot”.
HotlantaJune 14, 2011 at 10:19 pm (12 years ago)
I’m going to have to go with the New Orleans since I’m going there next weekend! Also, you should not let Finn eat like you do…he’s getting quite the roll around the neck in that t-shirt!
Zachary Jacob ZblewskiJune 15, 2011 at 8:43 pm (12 years ago)
The Farmer John is the best on their site, hands down. It basically screams “Wisconsin” as well.
MmmJune 17, 2011 at 11:38 am (12 years ago)
The Honky Tonk looks great, but the Highwayman made my mouth water!
Tea AutoJune 17, 2011 at 3:25 pm (12 years ago)
The Seattle from the Cheeseburgers Across America group almost won, but I cannot tolerate mushrooms, especially if they are stuck up “Pinot Noir-Glazed Wild Foraged” mushrooms. I am going to have to go with #13 The Roadhouse. It has all the classic flavors that go so well with burgers (garlic, onions, bacon) and I LOVE gruyere.
HardwareLustJune 17, 2011 at 5:03 pm (12 years ago)
The San Francisco looks damn good, I agree, but I think if I can only pick one, it would have to be the Denver. Eggs on a cheeseburger make it irresistible!
SheriJune 20, 2011 at 8:04 pm (12 years ago)
It would have to be #20, The Mona Lisa!! With gorgonzola, pancetta, red onions, sun dried tomatoes and garlic mayo etc… – Oh mama mia!!
DianaJune 23, 2011 at 11:06 am (12 years ago)
I would go for Uncle Sam or the Boss
BillJune 24, 2011 at 12:15 pm (12 years ago)
Can I pick all of them as my favorite? I can’t decide!
CTJune 24, 2011 at 12:21 pm (12 years ago)
Gonna go with Chicago as my favorite if I have to pick one, but Atlanta and Kansas City are runners up.
I’d love to do one of these a day for however long it takes to try them all.
RikiJune 24, 2011 at 12:24 pm (12 years ago)
Holy cow, I have to say The Roadhouse looks the best to me (although The Boss was a close second)! YUM!
NickJune 27, 2011 at 10:17 am (12 years ago)
Congratulations to Gebby, Sheri, Rich and Zach who are the four winners! I’ve just sent each of you an email, but let me know if you don’t get it.
