There’s a somewhat new all you can eat pizza and pasta place in Wisconsin called Tazinos Pizza & Salad Bistro. They’ve got three locations already (with a fourth opening soon) and for only $6.99 (including drink!) you can stuff your face with as much pizza, pasta, soup, salad and dessert as you want. As luck would have it, one of their three locations is mere minutes from where I work so I headed there for lunch one day with a co-worker of mine.
The slogan at Taznios is “better-for-you never tasted so good!” and they pride themselves on having healthy options such as whole wheat pastas and no trans-fats, as well as a large selection of low-fat options. I’ll tell you what though, when you put down food like I do, it really doesn’t matter how low-fat or healthy the food is.
While my co-worker foolishly filled her stomach by filling her first plate full of salad I headed straight for the pizza. I started off with a slice of their chicken bacon ranch pizza, a slice of the garden fresh vegetable pizza, two slices of Hawaiian pizza and some mac & cheese. Once that plate was finished I made my way back to the buffet for slices of roma tomato-basil, sausage, pepperoni and buffalo chicken pizza, which was probably my favorite of the day. When all was said and done I made a total of six trips up to the buffet and ate twenty-one pieces of pizza. A “pizza blackjack” if you will…

All buffets are on the losing end with you.
