Combine milk, water and butter and heat to between 115°F and 125°F.
Place 1 cup bread flour, sugar, salt, 1 egg, dry yeast and gel food coloring in a mixing bowl. Add heated liquid and beat at a medium speed for 2 minutes. Slowly stir in remaining 1 cup of flour.
On a floured surface knead the dough for about 10 minutes until firm and smooth. Cover and let rest for 10 minutes.
Divide dough into 6 equal sized balls. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
Beat the remaining egg in a bowl, brush the egg over the buns and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Preheat oven to 375°F and bake for 17 minutes.
