Ingredients

  • 7 ounces Black Creek Double Smoked Cheddar Cheese shredded
  • 6 hot dogs
  • 6 hot dog buns
  • 3 pounds ground beef
  • 2 jalapeños diced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup light beer
  • 1 tomato diced

Instructions

  • Separate ground beef into 6 equal-sized portions and flatten them out to be a little longer than your hot dogs and about 4 times as wide as your hot dogs.
  • One by one, take your hot dogs, place them on the ground beef, roll them up and seal the edges.
  • Grill over medium heat — rolling frequently — for 10 minutes or until ground beef is cooked through.
  • To make the jalapeño beer cheese sauce, melt 2 tablespoons butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add 2 tablespoons flour and whisk until golden in color.
  • Add 3/4 cup milk and 1/4 cup light beer and reduce heat to low.
  • Slowly add in shredded Black Creek Double Smoked Cheddar Cheese and continue stirring until the sauce is smooth.
  • Add diced jalapeños and stir until combined. If you’d like a thicker sauce, add more flour (1 tablespoon at a time) and if you’d like a thinner sauce, add more milk (1 tablespoon at a time).
  • Assemble your Beer Cheese Burger Dogs by placing each Burger Dog in a bun and topping them with jalapeño beer cheese sauce and diced tomatoes.
