The B

The BIt’s no secret that the best part of a BLT is the bacon. In fact, I’d wager to say that most people couldn’t care less about the lettuce or tomato.

That’s why while making a BLT for myself one night recently I decided to skip the lettuce and tomato altogether and just stick with the bacon part of it… An entire pound of bacon that is! That coupled with some toasted wheat bread and some deliciously fattening Hellman’s Mayonnaise and my sandwich was complete!

I know what you’re thinking, that the sandwich was probably too dry since all it consisted of was bacon right? Well, your assumptions are incorrect! I realized that if you just use a decent brand of bacon (I used some Black Label Bacon that Hormel sent me) and slather enough mayonnaise on there your sandwich has no chance of drying out. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you The B!

this is basically a bacon butty, which is kind of a thing in the UK. it involves butter and usually “brown sauce” (eq. to a light steak sauce) and a shit ton of bacon. they also have “chip butties”, which are the same only with fries instead of bacon. you should try that shit out.

      Hiya,
Yes we have chip butties in the UK, in Scotland if you get a buttered morning roll or Morton’s roll with chips it is quite the most delicious thing. I live in London and don’t get home very often but treat myself to a ‘half pizza supper’ when I go which involves a pizza being thrown in the deep fat fryer and served with chips, an occasional treat but absolutely amazing with lots of salt and washed down with an ironic Diet Irn Bru… Now that’s dude food dude

I made one of these myself a couple weeks ago, mayo and all. I just put a slice of swiss on it to help keep it moist.

I didn’t even know that existed. I’ll have to look for it the next time I’m at the grocery store.

Next time lose the mayo and try it with chunky peanut butter. The warm bacon and toast gets the PB all gooey.

I’d try this without the mayo. I hate mayo
